Seminar on IFRS held by AGN International in Prague
On September 30 a seminar on IFRS was held in Prague for the members of International Association of independent accounting and consulting firms AGN International. Lyubov Romanova, the senior expert of the Department of International Reporting of ACG 'Interexpertiza' has taken active part in it.
The event was visited by 40 participants from 19 countries. This is the third seminar on IFRS held by AGN International, in which member companies can share their professional knowledge and practical experience in international financial reporting standards with their foreign colleagues.
On September 29 a joint dinner was organized for all participants of the seminar at a local restaurant in Prague. On September 30 an official program of the event was begun with a welcome speech of the moderator of the seminar. In the process of individual speeches participants were invited to discuss the latest news in IFRS, to analyze complex issues of standards, and to solve practical case study. Senior Expert of International Reporting Department of ACG 'Interexpertiza' Lubov Romanova acted as one of the speakers of the seminar with her presentation "Discounting in IFRS: from simple to complex". The author of the presentation has disclosed in detail the situations in which IFRS require discounting, and has described the procedure of implementation, definition and justification of the discount rate.
