The head of Department of International Reporting of ACG 'Interexpertiza' Anton Kalanov joined the International Audit & Accounting Committee of AGN International
The head of Department of International Reporting of ACG 'Interexpertiza' Anton Kalanov joined the International Audit & Accounting Committee of AGN International, which was established in 2011.
AGN International is the worldwide association represented in 89 countries around the world by 197 companies and employs approximately 10 000 professional auditors and consultants, with aggregate profits of 1.5 bln US dollars a year.
The Committee includes representatives of various spheres of accounting from all main regions where members of AGN International operate, which provides resources for effective cooperation. The members of the Committee are:

The first session of the International Audit & Accounting Committee of AGN International took place in Prague on 28-29 September, 2011. Several options and plans of the Committee were approved at the meeting; the tasks were distributed among its members.
The International Audit & Accounting Committee of AGN International performs the following functions in particular:
integration of knowledge centers of accounting departments of member-companies of AGN International in countries that use IFRS and US GAAP;
optimization of communications during the performance of international projects on accounting and audit by the members of AGN International;
optimization of communications between the members of AGN International while making decisions on complicated cases of usage of IFRS and US GAAP;
aggregation of best practices in accounting and audit;
professional development of auditors of AGN International member-companies;
representation of AGN International clients' interests in regulatory bodies of IFRS and US GAAP.
The next teleconference is scheduled for the December of 2011, and the meeting of the Committee - on February, 24 of 2012 in New York.
Several functions of the Committee are directly coordinated by Anton Kalanov, the head of Department of International Reporting of ACG 'Interexpertiza', the one representative of AGN International in Russia.
Anton Kalanov noticed: 'I am very pleased, that we have finally established the committee. We have been working on this for a long time, and now we will have resources to implement a set of plans. In practical terms, the benefit of the Committee for all of us is:
- the development of a knowledge base in IFRS and the professional support in other accounting standards;
- the acceleration and simplification of the working process with colleagues in international projects on accounting, auditing, taxation and appraisal, which we coordinate for our clients'.
